Mr. T’s Take…

April 22, 2016
We have an amazing community at Silverwood School. Last weekend, sixteen of our parents (and many of our students) spent Saturday repairing, cleaning up and beautifying our campus. Windows were cleaned, fences were painted, garden beds weeded, and classroom vents vacuumed – just to name a few of the tasks completed!
Unfortunately, we had to take down the grape arbor on the pathway to the school. After careful assessment, it was determined it was no longer a safe structure. During one of our wind storms this past winter, a heavy branch fell through the arbor, further weakening the rotting posts. I am currently working with a parent to rebuild the structure.

I would like to thank all the volunteers that helped this weekend and for all the parents and family members who volunteer throughout the school year. Have a great weekend everyone!

Board for a Minute…

(A message for Parents from the Board of Trustees)
The office will be sending out a web link to our periodic Parent Survey next week. This survey provides an opportunity to voice your thoughts about Silverwood and your child’s experience here. We consider it to be valuable feedback for the Board of Trustees and the Head of School as we work and plan for the continued success of Silverwood. The survey is anonymous should take less than 15 minutes to complete. Please be on the look-out for the link and we will be grateful if you can take a few minutes to complete it.
