Picture Retakes

Sarah Musson from Snapshots will also be here on Tuesday, October 10, to retake school pictures. If you want your child’s picture retaken, please notify Miss Michelle in the office. To order retake photos, please return your child’s individual photo’s in the Snapshots envelope on Tuesday (you may keep the class photo if you ordered one).

All School Field Trip to Suyematsu Farm!

Next Thursday, October 12, Silverwood students will be visiting Suyematsu Farm’s pumpkin patch on Bainbridge Island. We are still in need of some drivers, so please let your child’s teacher know if you are available to help. If your child needs a booster seat, please leave one labeled with your child’s name at drop-off on Tuesday morning. The students will leave the campus promptly at 9:45 a.m. and will return for lunch at 12:35 p.m. with a short recess to follow.

T-shirt Orders

Turn in those t-shirt order forms by Thursday, October 12. The next order won’t be placed until next Spring! Miss Michelle has extra order forms in the office.

Jump Rope for Heart (and Pizza Friday/Spirit Day)

We will wrap up this awareness campaign with an afternoon of fun cardiovascular games and jump-roping on Friday, October 13. Join us at 1:30 p.m. as the students rotate through stations and end the week with some fun. Thank you so much for supporting our school and the American Heart Association. You are making a big difference in the fight against heart disease and stroke!

WE Scare Hunger: Halloween for Hunger

The classrooms are collecting non-perishable food items for North Kitsap Fishline throughout October. Help your child’s classroom win a movie and treat time during the school day, while supporting our local food bank.

Mr. T’s Take…

Maintenance Day was a great success at Silverwood School last Saturday and I want to thank everyone who participated.  Windows were washed, fences were painted, trees were limbed, bathroom fans were replaced, gutters and roofs were cleaned, garden and flower beds weeded, shrubs were pruned, and a variety of areas were cleaned up.  The volunteer work done at Silverwood School is critical to our success, whether helping on maintenance day, working in the classroom, helping us with special events such as Halloween Fest, or volunteering for pizza lunch.  Have an enjoyable three-day weekend.
