General Shout Out…
Next Tuesday, Halloween, will be a normal school day. While we do not allow costumes, children may wear seasonal attire such as a Halloween shirt, socks, hat (no masks or eye coverings) or headband as long as these items are appropriate for the school environment—save the spooky costumes for home! Thank you to everyone who helped make our Halloween Festival last Friday a rousing success! We could not do it without all of the volunteers who make this a fun event for Silverwood families.
Next week , we will be holding Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday and Friday, November 2 and 3. Child care will be available on those days as follows: no charge for the time you are on campus for conferences, and standard aftercare rate for child care
extending beyond conference times or as needed for a “no school” day. Please contact
Miss Michelle in the office if you need help signing up for conferences or if you will be using child care outside of your scheduled conference time(s). Thank you!
Scholastic Book Fair
Mr. Jeff will be running our fall book fair next week. Students will have the chance to look for books they are interested in and work on a wish list. The book fair is held in the Commons and will be open from 8:15 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Mr. Jeff has also agreed to extend the book fair into Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 6 and 7, of the following week. Come do some seasonal shopping—half of all book fair proceeds go directly to Silverwood School.
Wishing you a Spooktacular weekend, Your Silverwood Staff
