What is the Annual Fund?
The Silverwood Annual Fund consists of unrestricted and restricted gifts given each academic year by parents, board members, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty and staff, and friends to help provide students with a superior education. The Annual Fund helps fund our programs by providing budgetary support for operating expenses, from financial aid to field trips, from books to classroom technology. Every dollar we raise makes an impact on the lives of Silverwood students, and we strive to reach 100% participation from our families, staff, and board members.
Why Does Silverwood Need an Annual Fund?
Silverwood School gives our children tools to meet life’s challenges, academic, social, and emotional. At Silverwood, they learn that when they fall or make a mistake, it’s okay. The lesson from today’s mistake creates tomorrow’s wisdom. The Annual Campaign helps fund tuition assistance, making possible the unique education experience that Silverwood School offers, regardless of ability to pay.
Like other independent schools, Silverwood relies on funds raised by our annual fund and auction to help pay for budgeted operating expenses. By design, tuition does not cover all of the expenses of a Silverwood education. This helps keep tuition affordable for more families and promotes the economic diversity of our community. The Annual Fund is Silverwood School’s primary source of financial support to bridge this gap between tuition revenue and the cost of providing the best education possible for our children.
If you are interested in donating to our Annual Fund, please download and print our Annual Fund Pledge Form, fill it out, and return it to the school office. Thank you for your support!
